SHOWSTOPERS SCORING / AWARD SYSTEM:
Double Platinum, Platinum 1st Place, Gold 1st Place, and Silver Awards will be decided by a predetermined range of points for each place. *NEW* In the Competitive Level, dance routines are also eligible for the Crystal Award. There may be multiple Double Platinum, Platinum 1st places, Gold 1st places, and Silver Awards in each age group and category. 

Message from Miss Toni: "I just wanted to send out an email saying how proud of all of you we are!!!!  This weekend you put on a wonderful showing...dancing better than we've ever seen you dance!!!!  Your instructors have had many talks about scores, awards, and  placement at the different competitions.  It is difficult to see how much you have grown through-out a year when the competitions score differently, so I wanted to let you in on some information about Showstopper. In most cases, our dances were less than a point away from a Platinum ( .2 to be exact).  I know that it disappointing to not receive the award that you think that you deserve, but we have continued to grow this year, doing better and better with each showing.  Also, it is sometimes hard to see the small accomplishments, but your instructors see them all!!!  Each dancer has put in additional time and effort to prepare for this past weekend and we could not have been prouder of each of you!!!!!  On a side note, I want to say how proud of the FCDA dancers I am this year.  You have had to adjust to changes in your dances due to injuries, vacations, and missing dancers.  You have shown maturity, confidence, humility and empathy.  You all are great role models and great people:)  We are very excited to see what you can do at IDC!!!!  Have a great week off...rest, eat A LOT, read a book, watch TV...STRETCH:) and we will see all of you next week."
