| Dance Conventions Sunday, October 11, 2009 - Dance Masters of Wisconsin at the Ramada Inn in Stevens Point, WI 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (Packers bye week) $100.00 due no later than Friday, September 11, 2009. Make checks payable to YMCA Put payment in an envelope labeled "DMW Workshop" and with your child's name on it, and Give to your instructor.
Costs: The $100 price includes lunch (may pack additional food / beverage for your dancer) There is a $10 per person observer fee Exhibitors will be selling dance-related apparel and items. Dancers may want to bring some extra "spending" money if they wish to make any purchases.

Bus Transportation: NEW UPDATED INFORMATION Based on Toni's 10-08-09 10:15 AM email The Lamers coach bus will be departing from the HOTVY on Sunday, October 11 by 6:30 a.m. Please arrive by 6:15 a.m. -- fifteen minutes prior to departure. All dancers will check-in with Mrs. Mary Godin, a FCDA parent who is the official chaperone for this trip. Mrs. Godin will check-in dancers once again at departure in the afternoon. She is not responsible in any way for your child(ren) during the convention event.
FCDA dance instructors Stacie Scheibe and Brittany Schultz will be attending the convention, but will not be on the bus. Stacie will be the contact for the 9-12 age group dancers, and Brittany for the 13+. Our instructors will greet the dancers when they exit the bus, and will return them to the bus.
A lunch is included in the convention price, but additional food & beverages may be packed from home for the bus trip, as well as a pillow / blanket if desired. Garbage must be disposed of properly.
If someone has a "G" rated movie (DVD) they would like to bring, it could be viewed during the travel time.
It is expected that the bus will return to the HOTVY at approximately 5:30 p.m. The $17 estimated price collected came very close to the amount required for the 56 passenger Lamers coach. However, this collection did not allow for a gratuity which is appropriate. Please send approximately $1 per rider to be collected for this purpose.
DMW Workshop Policies These policies apply to all participants and observers Dress Code: All dancers should wear solid colored leotards and tights. No bare midriffs, thong outfits, biker shorts or bulky clothing which conceal body line. Secure all hair off face and neck. Dance shoes, appropriate to dance discipline, are required.
Video Policy: Observer Policy: Room Designation: Students may only participate in the room for which they are registered. Students may not visit and/or participate in other classrooms. Teachers may visit other classrooms, but may not dance in those rooms. Assistant teachers are allowed to observe (not dance) in other classrooms with their teacher’s consent. The Sgt-at-Arms must be notified of the authorization either verbally or in writing. If a teacher feels her student was placed incorrectly, teacher and student may request different placement.
Driving Directions:
From the north or south, use Highway 39. Exit the interstate at exit 161. Drive south on Division Street / Business 51. At first light, turn right (North Point Drive). Make a left turn into parking lot.
